Joseph Zak grew up in southern British Columbia and attended UBC. During his university years, Joe spent many summers working at what was then the Phoenix Copper Mine near the historic town of Greenwood, BC.
Following his graduation from law school in 1979, Joe moved to Kamloops to begin his legal career with the firm that was then known as Robinson Morelli. He joined our firm in 1984.
Throughout his career, Joe has been an avid supporter and member of many professional organizations including the Trial Lawyers of British Columbia, for which he is currently a member of the Board of Governors, the Canadian Bar Association and the Kamloops Bar Association.
Joe was a speaker at the Northern Brain Injury Conference in 2002 discussing accident and disability benefits. On behalf of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia, Joe hosted a forum in Kamloops on topics including liability arising from winter road maintenance.
Joe is married and the proud father of two daughters, ages 18 and 20. Joe’s community activities have often involved his family. During his daughter’s school years, Joe was an active member of the St. Ann’s Academy Advisory Board, serving as its Chairperson from 1994 to 2000.
