I grew up in southern British Columbia in the beautiful Boundary Country. I returned home during my university years and spent my summers working at what was then the Phoenix Copper Mine near the historic town of Greenwood, BC.
I attended the University of British Columbia graduating with a combined degree in commerce and law. Thereafter, I moved to Kamloops, BC to begin my legal career and have remained here since. While I live in Kamloops, my clients are located throughout British Columbia and Alberta. I have no hesitation in travelling to meet with those whose injuries or circumstances are such that they would prefer meeting with their lawyer in their home or community.
I have always been an avid supporter and member of many professional organizations including the Trial Lawyers of British Columbia, of which I am a member of the Board of Governors, and the Canadian Bar Association, of which I am the Past Chair of the Insurance Law Section. I strongly believe in the principals of seeking fair justice to those who have been injured or wronged by the negligence of others.
My practice is largely restricted to those suffering personal injury and loss through motor vehicle collisions, slip and fall accidents and through faulty or defective products. I also represent those who have been denied coverage by their insurance companies for disability benefits, fire insurance and related losses. I incorporate mediations and settlement conferences as a routine part of advancing the interests of my clients and have appeared in all levels of Court in the Province including the Supreme Court of British Columbia and the British Columbia Court of Appeal.
